Hi Hakan, where exactly can I found the new Advantage Forum? Is it http://scn.sap.com/community/ads/content ? Thank you!

(15 Apr '15, 01:41) Marc

Hi Marc. Yes, the link http://scn.sap.com/community/ads/content is correct. Best wishes.

(15 Apr '15, 01:43) HakanH

Thank you, Hakan. I assume we can't use old login and user name then?

(15 Apr '15, 02:10) Marc

No, sorry..., a new registration on the SAP SCN is required.

(15 Apr '15, 02:13) HakanH

I've successfully registered, but there are some problems:

  1. Internet Explorer 11 Log In doesn't seem to work, nothing happens (Firefox works).
  2. All our tediously collected Karma Points are lost now: "Your reply will be reviewed by a moderator before being added. Your content is being moderated because your points level indicates that you are new to posting on SCN."

Hi Marc. I test a new registration and login to the ADS SCN forum with my IE v11 on a Windows 8 machine, and it works fine on my side. I had default settings on my IE v11, so may the problem on your side is related to a customized setting of the IE v11. The message on your second question is like expected, because after a new registration to open a new discussion without having any points must be reviewed at the first time from a moderator to avoid Robot attacks.

Hi Hakan, thank you! Yes, on another computer the login works with IE 11 so this is either due to custom settings on my home computer or caused by AVG Internet Security. As for the second question, may it be possible to transfer Points? (I know this might be complicated).

(17 Apr '15, 00:50) Marc

Hi Marc! I was not able to verify a possibility to transfer any point from this forum to the SAP SCN forum. I guess this could be really complicated, because SAP SCN uses completely another system. But you are welcome to ask the SCN support team for your request here: http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-18476

Hi Hakan, thank you!

Hi Hakan, just to inform you I've got the answer that it isn't possible to transform points. BTW, is there news about moving the content? The new forum still contains only few entries.

I can understand that SAP wants to consolidate the support into their SCN and I've started to monitor new threads there now as well.

On the downside I will probably miss this forum, I was only getting started on tidying up with my super hard earned reputation based moderation powers ;).

That said there is still the stackoverflow advantage-database-server tag. So I'm going to still hang around in SCN and stackoverflow when this forum is set to read only.

I also find it's kind of pity that it is planned to depreciate this forum. Eg I've tried to paste SQL code from clipboard into the new forum but couldn't succeed, so I used this forum for my last question again. It seems editing abilities are much better in this "old" forum.

I understand that the SCN will be changing at the end of the year to a new system. I'm not 100% sure of the exact changes, but it sounds like it may be similar to this one.
