I recently noticed Data Architect opens and displays dbf data in list format much quicker than my xHarbour executable. I use the dbusearea function with "Ads" as the rdd in xHarbour. Is there a better way to open dbfs to improve speed?

Thanks for your time.

I am using "Ads" as the RDD.

I don't think Arc32 is any faster than xharbour ADS rdds. The underlaying action is all done with the same ACE functions regardless of computing language or compiler. It may be that the grid control displaying the dbf data is not as efficient. What grid control are you using? Can you share a reduced-self contained sample to demonstrate your point?
