In a Windows Environment, the ADS server has multiple DNS A records configured in DNS manager in the Active Directory. Is it possible that this could contribute to ADS Discovery errors in the client applications? We are using ADS.INI to overcome the ADS Discovery Errors in our various websites and applications but I still notice them sometimes, for example when I use Advantage Data Architect. (Perhaps ADA doesn't have an ADS.INI configured). I would like to recommend to the IT Team to update DNS manager to have a single A record for the ADS server (the machine name in the network) and then use DNS CNAME records for any additional names that may be required. Thanks and regards. |
