I recently received a evaluation serial for a client. ADS installed and seems up and running but from my program it didn't connect. Further investigation revealed that this function:

returned error 7046. I found 7046 a follows: http://devzone.advantagedatabase.com/dz/content.aspx?Key=17&RefNo=081006-2084 This suggests that ADS although it shows correctly working in the config utility in fact it not. I've contact my representative twice but one week after sending my request I unfortunately haven't received a reply. I wonder if this is really the case - and if I can probably install the 30 days evaluation version of ADS 12 instead. If it is another problem I don't want to waste more time on it.

Please post in the future your request to http://scn.sap.com/community/ads so we can help you faster.

It looks, that your eval version is expired. To better analyze this error, you need to check the Eventlog Application Protocol which error is returned durng starting the ADS service or look in the ADS configuration Utility, if the expiration date is reached.

If you have not done this, please download the ADS 12 evaluation version from here https://go.sap.com/cmp/dg/crm-xu15-int-ads12ddm/index.html because this should work for 30 days. If you have still an issue, please post your request to SAP ADS SCN, so I get the notification.
