Hello, We have recently purchased the following licenses for Advantage Database Server: Advantage 2 user Server (WIN) Advantage Internet Connector Unlimited Our distributor ensures us that these licenses are enough for deploy them in four (maybe five) IIS ASP.NET web servers (two of them in a web farm, another for developing purposes and the other one or two for older applications) but, when we try to access from all of them at the same time to Advantage Database Server, we get the following exception: Error 7003: Maximum number of users exceeded. axServerConnect We have only installed .NET data provider libraries on web servers. Do we need to purchase another combination of licenses or to install another component in web servers? Thank you. |

You will need to have 1 user license for each IIS machine connecting plus 1 user for any machines that will connect for Admin purposes that are not an IIS machine (i.e. you local desktop if needed). The "Advantage Internet Connector Unlimited" allows you to use IIS with ADS and have an unlimited number of users access the IIS server. As you described you will want to have at least a 4 (maybe 5) user license with Advantage Internet Connector Unlimited. (6 if you want to use ARC from your desktop or the ADS server directly for Admin stuff) |
