I downloaded the “Detailed Supported Platforms” pdf and saw that ADS 11.1 now supports SBS 2011 and Windows Server 2012 but there was no mention of Windows Server 2012 Essentials (aka.. SBS 2012).

Are there plans to support Windows Server 2012 Essentials?

Well I found part of my answer and I thought I would share it with anyone interested.

11.1 was tested with Windows Server 2012 Standard (and Windows 2011 Small Business Server).

So, they have not specifically tested with the Essentials version of 2012, but they have tested with 2012, and with a recent Small Business Server version.

It was suggested, that ADS may work on Essentials version of 2012 without problems. But they don't officially support it.

No word as to when they plan to support it.
