unfortunately, the original developer of our app did store VO arrays into memo fields. ( Using AdsSetField( ... ) )

I am copying data from one table to another, using a stored procedure. Basically a

insert into abc ( memocol ) select othermemocol from xyz

this was working fine, at least with ADS 9

Right now, with ADS 10 and 11 I am getting errors 5154 "..... Memo field contains binary data "

Has something changed in this area?

Thanks Oskar

This behavior changed in 10.0 when we added unicode support. The problem is that one field is MEMO and the other field is BINARY. Make sure the field types are the same or use the CONVERT or CAST scalars to convert the field data before inserting it.
