Group permissions can be set at the time the group is created, or anytime thereafter.

To update Group Rights, open a database. See Opening a Database for details. You must login to the database as a user with ALTER permissions on the specific group in order to update group rights in a database. From the tree view within the Connection Repository, right-click the Group's name icon and select Properties. Then click the Permissions button on the Group Screen.

List of available dictionary objects to grant or revoke permissions to.

Read

Check the checkbox to add read permission to this table, view, or field.

Insert

Check the checkbox to add insert permission to this table, view, or field.

Update

Check the checkbox to add update permission to this table, view, or field.

Delete

Check the checkbox to add delete permission to this table or view.

Execute

Check the checkbox to add execute permission for this Advantage Extended Procedure.

Link Access

Check the checkbox to add link access permission for the data dictionary link.

OK

Saves all input and returns to the Group screen.

Cancel

Cancels all input and returns to the Group screen.
