Creating or Modifying a Group

To create or modify a database group, open a database. See Opening a Database for details. You must login to the database as a user with CREATE USER GROUP or ALTER permissions on the specific group in order to add or modify groups in a database.

To add a new Group, right-click the GROUPS icon and select Create.

To modify Group properties, from the tree view within the Connection Repository, right-click the Group's name icon and select Properties.

Group Field Descriptions

Name (required)

Name of the group.

Group Members (optional)

Click this option to add or update group members.

Permissions (optional)

View or modify the group permissions.

Description (optional)

The description for the group.

Create/OK

Saves any input.

Cancel

Cancels any input or changes and exits the screen.
