There is little doubt that .NET will be an important framework for many years to come. So it is not surprising that the Advantage team has committed itself to providing Advantage developers with an exceptional .NET development environment. In fact, they've done such a good job of it that we believe Advantage is the best database for .NET development.
There are three sources of the Advantage edge. The first is Advantage's superior support for ADO.NET 1.1 in both Visual Studio 2003 and Delphi for .NET. Second, Advantage's support for ADO.NET 2.0 meets or exceeds that of all other .NET data providers. Third, Advantage is tightly integrated with Visual Studio 2005. Each of these points is discussed in the following sections.
