    9.10.0.35 - Advantage Data Architect (ARC)

This Service Update of the Advantage Data Architect (ARC) addresses the following issues:

  1. Fixed issue with functions that have the same name, but exist in more than one package.


  2. Updated Advantage Data Architect to include functions when generating an SQL script from the top level node.


  3. Fixed the error "error reading poArticles.LoadedCompletely: Property is read_only" when trying to open a publication in Advantage Data Architect.


  4. Fixed an issue where Advantage Data Architect would not re-open on a secondary monitor if the last time it was closed the main window was in the maximized state.


  5. Fixed upgrade scripts to not add subscription queue tables.


  6. Fixed an issue in the Advantage Data Architect table designer where you could not drag fields up if the form was so small that only 3 or 4 fields were visible.


  7. Fixed an Advantage Data Architect issue that would prevent users from browsing to select a table to open if that table was already opened by the Advantage server.


  8. Fixed an issue where Advantage Data Architect would not generate a valid CREATE INDEX statement for FTS indexes.


  9. Fixed an issue where Advantage Data Architect would not correctly restore the main form's dimensions after being closed with the window maximized.


  10. Changed Advantage Data Architect to respect the disable trigger checkbox when creating triggers.

  1. Fixed an issue where ARC would show up off the visible desktop if previously opened on a screen that was no longer attached.


  2. Fixed an issue where ARC would start with its main form minimized if it was minimized when the application was last closed.


  3. Fixed an issue with two packages containing functions with the same name.


  4. Changed "Export Tables to Code" functionality to use the correct lock type for the current database.


  5. Fixed a bug that prevented Advantage Data Architect from using the ADSINI_PATH environment variable to locate the ADS.INI file.


  6. Fixed an issue where ARC would hide the query plan tab after executing the "show plan" functionality in the query utility.


  7. Fixed an issue where the ARC table designer would not place a separator between fields when dragging a field to change its position in the table.


  8. Fixed an issue where the ARC table designer (and the table component editor in Delphi) could raise a 5098 "table already encrypted" error when saving a new table.


  9. Fixed an issue that would cause an EAccessViolation error when trying to add members to a new group.


  10. Fixed an issue where the ARC remote management screen would flicker when loading.


  11. Fixed an issue where an exception was thrown with the text, "poMemo: Field 'FieldName' not found", if the table browser memo editor was used, and then the table designer was used to delete the memo field.


  12. Fixed an issue where the ARC SQL Utility doesn't place the cursor correctly after clicking to the right of the last line in a script if the line has tabs.


  13. Improved the dictionary compare tool handling of SQL Script stored procedures and FTS delimiter characters.


  14. Fixed an issue where the ARC "Tables To Code" functionality could generate invalid decimal values if the Windows locale decimal separator setting was not a period/dot.

  1. Fixed an issue where ARC would crash when switching between child windows.


  2. Fixed an issue where ARC would crash when viewing open tables in the remote management utility.


  3. Fixed an issue where an invalid SQL ALTER TABLE statement would be generated when comparing data dictionaries.

This Service Update of the Advantage Data Architect (ARC) addresses the following issues:

  1. Fixed an issue where using the data import tool to import tables into an existing data dictionary resulted in the following error "There was an error changing the field: <fieldname> to the AutoInc type".


  2. Fixed an issue where the Remote Management Utility inside the Advantage Data Architect would only show a maximum of 200 active users and tables.


  3. Fixed ARC remote management utility grids to allow sorting, reordering columns, and multi-select when disconnecting users. Also modified file paths to display the full path in a hover hint when the path is larger than the column.


  4. Fixed an issue where the Advantage Data Architect visual RI designer would return 5132 errors when working with tables with a name over 15 characters long.


  5. Fixed an issue where the Advantage Data Architect import wizard would not correctly import Advantage FoxPro files that had full text search (FTS) indexes.


  6. Modified the Advantage Data Architect to allow local server connections when used from a remote desktop client without raising the 5185 (AE_LOCAL_CONN_RESTRICTED) exception.


  7. Modified the Advantage Data Architect table designer to automatically add the !deleted condition to primary key indexes on Visual FoxPro tables.


  8. Added the ability to quickly scroll to a specific column in a table browser or the query utility in the Advantage Data Architect. The search can be activated by clicking the magnifying glass in the top left corner of the grid, by right-clicking and choosing "find column..." from the quick menu, or by using the keyboard shortcut CTRL-ALT-F.


  9. Improved how ARC handles directory names that contain .add in them.

  1. Fixed an issue where ARC could not import DBF tables without creating NULL values in the destination ADT tables. A new checkbox in the import wizard controls this functionality.


  2. Fixed an issue where child form menus were incorrectly displayed when the child form was inactive, causing form contents to shift up as a form was activated.


  3. Fixed an issue where the ARC login dialog would not always put the cursor focus in the password edit box.


  4. Fixed an issue where the ARC dictionary comparison utility would raise 5004 errors if the client did not have rights to either data directory.


  5. Fixed an issue where ARC would return the error "X is not a valid component name" when exporting table data to an existing table in a dictionary that had spaces in the filename.


  6. Fixed an issue where columns other than the focused column were not shown when editing a record if the PC was using windows themes.


  7. Fixed an issue where in some situations the SQL debugger would not stop directly on a breakpoint line, but would stop a few lines earlier in the script.
